If you live in Canada and want to invite a relative (family or friend) who is a Haitian citizen to come visit you in Canada, he will have to obtain a temporary resident visa (TRV). This visa will be issued in most cases for a maximum of 6 months. Your loved one will need to provide a letter of invitation written by you to accompany their tourist visa application.

Invitation letter for a Haitian relative or friend
A letter of invitation can be attached to the visa application of your Haitian relative or friend who wishes to visit you in Canada. This letter is not a guarantee of obtaining the visa.
In this letter of invitation, the person who invites (the host) must be in good faith and plan to keep the promises made therein, particularly in terms of support and return to Haiti of the invited person. The visa office may ask you to notarize the letter. This means that it must be signed before a notary (in Quebec) or before a notary public in the rest of Canada.
